• 95% cotton, not polyester. A costume-shop bat is a polyester cape with a hood stitched on. This is babywear first: thin single-jersey that breathes indoors and layers outdoors.

Go by height and weight rather than age. Between two sizes? Take the larger one — it is a romper, not a fitted suit. Allow 1–3 cm for hand measurement.
